Role Overview

The Pool Guard will be responsible for monitoring the pool area, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all guests using the pool facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area at all times to ensure guest safety
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly pool area, including poolside furniture and equipment
• Check pool water quality and report any issues to management
• Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about pool facilities
• Report any hazards, equipment faults, or incidents to management
• Ensure pool safety equipment is in good working condition
• Support other hotel departments as needed during quiet periods

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certification in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pool guard or lifeguard (preferred)
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
• Excellent observation and concentration skills
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible, alert, and safety-conscious attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
