Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience in logistics management and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in logistics software and data analysis tools.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional working experience is required.

Your Next Challenge (Responsibilities)

Safety & Compliance

  • Develop and drive safety improvement roadmap.
  • Maintain high safety standards across logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adapt processes.
  • Implement best practices in truck management.

Operational Management

  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, weighbridge, loading, and yard operations.
  • Implement technology solutions to improve efficiency.

Strategic Planning

  • Lead logistics strategy to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  • Develop contingency plans with Procurement to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to management.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Finance to enhance service.
  • Promote backhauling initiatives and ensure optimal plant stock levels.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to secure best transporters while optimizing cost.
  • Coordinate with other departments (procurement, production, finance) for seamless operations.
  • Promote and manage fair transporter appraisal.

Performance & Team Development

  • Drive logistics KPIs and monitor performance.
  • Train and develop team to build capability.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

General Compliance & Duties

  • Ensure compliance with the HC Group Code of Business Conduct, as well as other policies and guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Logistics Director-EA.
