LOGISTICS OFFICER

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Job Description Bakhresa Food Products Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Logistics Officer to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting efficient logistics and supply chain operations to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of logistics procedures and documentation.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods in accordance with company requirements.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate logistics documentation and records.
• Liaise with transporters, suppliers, clearing agents, and internal departments.
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock control and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Address and resolve logistics-related issues and delays.
