Role Description

The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee and manage day-to-day operations of mulitple ZO Spaces facilities to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise day-to-day facility operations across all Zo Spaces locations.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are consistently maintained.
• Oversee AC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, inventory and general building maintenance.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
• Supervise cleaners, handymen, and maintenance staff.
• Conduct daily facility inspections as per approved SOPs.
• Coordinate with the contracted security companies to ensure proper guards deployment, attendance, and performance standards.
• Monitor building access control, CCTV systems, and ensure security protocols are followed.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, fire safety requirements, and statutory building standards.
• Maintain all compliance documentation including inspection logs, service records, and safety certifications.
• Manage vendor relationships for maintenance and service contracts.
• Monitor stock levels of maintenance materials and supplies.
• Ensure rapid resolution of tenant complaints and technical issues.
• Prepare weekly facilities and compliance reports for management.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM)
• Proven capabilities in Operations Management, including creating and implementing efficient workflows
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance to ensure consistent and reliable facility performance
• Excellent Supervisory Skills for managing and motivating facility staff and ensuring smooth operation
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as compliance requirements
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to handle challenges effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in facility management, particularly in a modern or technology-enabled facility, is an advantage
