Job Description

Cleaning and Housekeeping This involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order throughout the residence.

  • Routine Cleaning: Perform daily tidying and cleaning of all rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Deep Cleaning: Execute periodic deep cleaning of specific areas, such as scrubbing bathrooms (toilets, showers, tubs, sinks), and detailed cleaning of baseboards, light fixtures, and windows.
  • Organization: Maintain the neatness of common areas, ensuring items are put away and surfaces are clear. This may include organizing closets, cabinets, and drawers as requested.
  • Specialized Care: Properly clean and care for delicate surfaces, including wood, marble, stainless steel, and fine furniture.

Laundry and Clothing Care This covers all aspects of textile maintenance, ensuring clothing and linens are well-cared for and ready for use.

  • Washing and Drying: Sort, wash, and dry all laundry (clothing, towels, bedding) according to fabric care instructions.
  • Ironing and Steaming: Expertly iron or steam garments, including delicate and formal wear, to a professional standard.
  • Putting Away: Fold, hang, and put away all clean laundry in the appropriate closets and drawers.
  • Mending and Care: Perform minor mending, such as sewing buttons or repairing small tears, and manage dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.

Kitchen and Meal Assistance This focuses on the cleanliness of the kitchen and assistance with food preparation and serving.

  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, appliances (refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave), and the pantry.
  • Dish Care: Manage all dishwashing, including loading and unloading the dishwasher, and hand-washing delicate items.
  • Meal Preparation Support: Assist with simple meal preparation, such as chopping vegetables, setting the table, and general mise en place.
  • Post-Meal Cleanup: Efficiently clear the table and clean up the kitchen immediately following meals.

Household Management Support This includes tasks that help the household run smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

  • Errands: Run necessary household errands, which may include grocery shopping, picking up supplies, or post office trips.
  • Inventory and Stocking: Monitor and maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies, kitchen staples, and personal care items, and restock as needed.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assist with receiving and coordinating outside vendors or service providers, such as maintenance workers or delivery personnel.
  • Pet Care (If Applicable): Provide basic care for household pets, such as feeding, walking, or general cleanup.
