Job Description
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed company sales goals. This role includes developing sales strategies, monitoring sales metrics, providing training and coaching, and ensuring the team delivers excellent customer service. The Sales Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the sales team in achieving objectives, maintaining high levels of motivation, and ensuring all sales activities align with company standards.
Key Roles:
1. Team Supervision and Performance Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of sales representatives, setting individual and team goals that align with company sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration, communication, and accountability.
2. Sales Strategy and Goal Setting
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the team, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement or adjustment in strategy.
3. Training and Development
- Provide training and ongoing support to the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Organize regular training sessions on product updates, sales processes, and best practices.
- Act as a mentor and resource for the team, addressing questions and offering advice on handling customer objections, closing deals, and managing complex sales situations.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Support the sales team in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and resolving escalated issues effectively.
- Work closely with the team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and that all interactions reflect the company’s commitment to customer service.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improving products or services.
5. Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports, tracking key metrics such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer retention.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend action plans to improve performance.
- Communicate sales performance updates to senior management and collaborate on setting future sales targets.
6. Compliance and Policy Adherence
- Ensure that all team activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Enforce sales policies and procedures, addressing any deviations promptly.
- Regularly update the team on any changes in company policies, promotions, or product offerings.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Work Conditions
