Job Description
The Claims Manager is responsible for ensuring that general insurance claims are handled promptly and professionally, meeting customer expectations and aligning with the Company’s corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle general insurance claims expeditiously and professionally to meet customer expectations and company objectives.
- Ensure claim reserves are accurately set and regularly reviewed to reflect the company’s current liability.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Analyze the performance of various classes of business and recommend corrective measures to ensure profitability.
- Register and acknowledge claims promptly, keeping customers regularly updated on claim status to ensure early resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Initiate and follow up on recoveries to reduce the final cost of claims.
- Raise cheque requisitions upon receipt of discharge vouchers or invoices to facilitate timely cheque processing.
- Evaluate the best alternatives for handling claims to minimize expenses and associated costs.
- Maintain strong business relationships through regular interaction with customers and service providers to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Prepare departmental management reports to provide updates on operational status.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and coach departmental staff to maintain motivation and high performance.
Experience:
- Has worked 3 to 4 years in an Insurance Company at a senior level.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics
