Corporate Brand Manager
Background TOL Gases PLC is a leading industrial and medical gases company listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The company is seeking a strategic, results-driven professional for this position, which is based in Dar es Salaam and requires frequent travel to other operational areas.
Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Managing Director, the Corporate Brand Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the corporate brand and communication strategy. This includes leading structured stakeholder engagement to strengthen institutional relationships, enhance brand credibility, and support business performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Institutional Engagement
- Lead and coordinate structured engagement with public institutions, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to resolve outstanding commercial matters through constructive engagement.
- Represent the company in meetings, forums, and negotiations with institutional stakeholders.
- Ensure all engagements adhere to corporate governance standards and applicable laws.
Corporate Branding & Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate branding strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Strengthen the company's identity as a reputable DSE-listed regional entity.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all internal and external platforms.
- Oversee compliance with corporate brand guidelines.
Marketing, PR & Visibility
- Execute initiatives to enhance national brand visibility and stakeholder awareness.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and corporate announcements.
- Coordinate corporate events, sponsorships, and the company’s digital presence on social media and the website.
Communication & Reputation Management
- Lead communications with investors, regulators, customers, and the public.
- Support investor relations in collaboration with Executive Management.
- Monitor public perception and proactively manage reputational risks and crisis communications.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business Administration, or International Relations.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or related) is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in Marketing or PR is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate branding, communications, or stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with institutional and public-sector stakeholders.
- Experience within a regulated industry or a listed company is an added advantage.
Skills
- Strong strategic communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
- High integrity and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
