Job Description
The Wajibika programme team at Oxford Policy Management is currently seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Manager (MEAL) on a fixed-term basis.
The position will be located in Tanzania. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead MEL efforts in a dynamic and adaptive programme, driving meaningful change in Tanzania’s governance and civic engagement landscape.
We are an international development consultancy working to improve lives through sustainable policy change in low- and middle-income countries. Our vision is for fair public policy that benefits both people and the planet.
Through our global network of offices, we work in partnership with national stakeholders and decision-makers to research, design, implement, and evaluate impactful public policy. We draw on our local and international sector experts to provide the very best evidence-based support. We deliver projects with expert knowledge and experience and can be relied upon for excellence in all aspects of project delivery. We work collaboratively, with ambition, to help deliver impactful public policy that will bring about lasting change.
The Wajibika programme is a 6-year initiative funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC). The programme aims to foster a more open, inclusive society in Tanzania where the government demonstrates greater accountability to the needs of its citizens. Wajibika is structured around three strategic outcomes: (1) effective civic space and inclusive political processes, (2) media freedom and access to information, and (3) improved government knowledge, will, and capacity for public service reforms. Our approach is issue-based, investing in coalitions rather than individual CSOs, and leveraging evidence-based and politically informed analysis to drive change.
