The Opportunity:

We’re hiring a Senior Technical Manager to lead our engineering and project execution operations across Africa. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a seasoned professional (preferably from India) with deep expertise in water treatment systems, project management, and client interaction.

You’ll be based in Dar es Salaam, with regular travel across the continent, driving technical excellence and mentoring local teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer water treatment solutions (RO, NF, UF, ZLD, ETP, STP, WTP)
  • Prepare proposals, BOQs, technical drawings (P&IDs), and cost estimations
  • Lead client meetings, site assessments, and technical discussions
  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting on-site
  • Oversee chemical application systems and performance optimization
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, service)
  • Coach and upskill junior engineers and site teams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • 10–15+ years in water and wastewater treatment (preferably with firms like Ion Exchange, Thermax, Wabag, Aquatech, Doshion)
  • Proficient in membrane technologies (RO, UF, NF), biological systems (MBBR, SBR), clarifiers, filtration, and dosing systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, P&ID tools, and basic electrical/PLC systems
  • Experience in international or field-based projects is highly desirable
