Stock Manager at Simara Enterprises Ltd

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Stock Manager to oversee and manage our inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of stock management processes, including setting up and optimizing inventory systems to ensure the smooth movement of stock across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement stock management systems to track and monitor inventory levels effectively.
2. Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
3. Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
4. Analyze stock movement patterns to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
5. Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast stock requirements and place orders accordingly.
6. Implement systems to streamline stock handling processes, including storage and distribution.
7. Train and supervise staff involved in stock management activities.
8. Monitor key metrics related to inventory performance and prepare reports for management.
9. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in stock handling and storage.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven experience in stock management, inventory control, or a related field.
2. Knowledge of inventory management systems and tools, with experience in system setup and optimization.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
4. Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
5. Familiarity with wholesale or retail operations is highly desirable.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
7. Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in stock management within the food wholesale or supermarket industry.
2. Knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics processes.
3. Certification in inventory management or supply chain management is an advantage.
4. Responsible for managing store operations, including recording inventory, receiving stock, and issuing items according to orders.
5. Must understand the principles of effectively organizing stock during receiving and issuing processes.
