About The Role

The Site Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations at the brewery, including receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. The role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations while maintaining product quality, inventory accuracy, and on-time dispatch in line with production and distribution requirement.

Role Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage daily warehouse activities including inbound receipts, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch of finished goods and materials.
  • Ensure proper storage of beer and other materials in line with quality standards, temperature requirements, and FIFO / FEFO principles.
  • Support order fulfillment to achieve OTIF (On-Time-In-Full)
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Finance and Sales teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing and timely deliveries.
  • Support demand planning and forecasting

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory stock levels and timely replenishment for raw materials, packaging (bottles, cans, kegs, boxes, labels, tax stamps), and finished goods.
  • Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and lead physical stock audits.
  • Implement security measures to prevent losses due to breakage, spillage, expiry, or pilferage.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure logistics operations comply with company policies, government regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including GRNs, dispatch notes, excise records, and inventory reports.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, train and motivate warehouse/logistics staff at site including supervisors, forklift operators, and loaders.
  • Enforce safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and use of PPE always.
  • Plan manpower deployment and shift schedules to meet operational demands.

Safety & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within logistics operations.
  • Implement best practices in material handling, stacking, and equipment usage.
  • Work with Quality teams to manage product holds, returns, and recalls when necessary.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, layout, space utilization, and truck turnaround time.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, dispatch efficiency, and damage rates.
  • Support implementation of warehouse/logistics projects at the site to deliver productivity metrics.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in beverage or FMCG manufacturing
  • Prior experience handling high-volume SKUs and fast-moving consumer products
