Boiler DCS Operator at Bagamoyo Sugar

Duties Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems using the DCS.
• Maintain steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and combustion parameters within specified operating limits.
• Monitor process trends and respond promptly to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
• Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and load changes according to standard operating procedures.
• Record operating data, shift logs, equipment status, and production reports accurately.
• Assist maintenance teams during planned shutdowns and equipment repairs.
• Monitor fuel, feed water, air, and steam systems for efficient operation.
• Identify operational abnormalities and report them to supervisors for corrective action.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the management.

Qualification and skills required

• Experience in operating industrial boilers or power plant equipment using a DCS is preferred.
• Knowledge of boiler operation, steam generation, combustion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• 3 years of working experience in the field
