Turbine Operator at Bagamoyo Sugar

Duties Responsibilities

• Operate turbines and auxiliary equipment per procedures.
• Start, synchronize, load, unload, and shut down safely.
• Monitor parameters (pressure, temperature, vibration, speed, load) and act when needed.
• Inspect turbines, generators, lubrication, cooling, condensers, and auxiliaries.
• Report abnormalities in operation, equipment, or process.
• Respond to alarms, trips, and emergencies to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with control room, boiler operators, and maintenance teams.
• Assist with isolation, lockout/tag out, and commissioning.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
• Maintain housekeeping in turbine and auxiliary areas.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the management.

Qualification Skills required

• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to monitor equipment performance and respond quickly to operational changes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe operations.
• 3 years of working experience in the field
