Assistant Sales Representative at The Guardian Tanzania

The Guardian Ltd, a leading newspaper company in Tanzania, is seeking Assistant Sales Representatives in Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, and Mwanza. This role focuses on increasing circulation sales, advertisement sales, and e-paper subscriptions, contributing to business growth in the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive newspaper sales, subscriptions, and e-paper growth in the assigned region.
• Identify and acquire new advertising clients for both print and digital platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agents, and corporate clients.
• Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and industry trends.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate sales records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement sales and promotional strategies.
• Provide regular sales reports, performance updates, and recommendations.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Must be a resident of Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, or Mwanza.
• Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales and marketing. Experience in the newspaper or media industry is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office and digital sales tools.
• Familiarity with the local market in the assigned region is an added advantage.
