Maintenance Planner at Twiga Cement

Areas of Responsibility: As Assigned

Reports To: Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Manager

Specific Knowledge: Minimum of 5 years working experience in a cement plant

Main Duties

• Prepare routine and shutdown maintenance plans for equipment and generate reports for execution processes.
• Make decisions within the assigned area based on quality requirements and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Work with the EAM system to ensure proper implementation of maintenance improvement programs (MIP), including Work Requests (WR), Work Orders (WO), spare parts, and services.
• Prepare and plan maintenance requests arising from inspection results to ensure identified problems are resolved.
• Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents for project initiation.
• Initiate programs aimed at reducing costs and saving time.
• Conduct weekly Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement actions based on proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure reliability is integrated into all aspects of operations.
• Prepare maintenance reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with Heidelberg Materials Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies, and Guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and all applicable statutory regulations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring equipment and computerized maintenance systems.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficiency in soft skills tools such as MS Project.

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a cement plant.

Reporting Line

• Reports directly to the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Manager.
