Job Description

Manage the quality control and production of external and internal publications (e.g.game cards, newsflashes, alerts, snapshots, articles of interest), ensuring that published is professionally written, consistent in style and appropriately targeted for relevant audiences.

The role operates independently under broad management, supervision and control. This role is integral to creating and executing successful media campaigns for the National Lottery in Tanzania. Effective communication, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions are essential for individuals in these positions.

Responsibilities

Media Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute multi-platform media strategies across TV, radio, print, digital, social media, out-of-home (OOH), and website.
  • Align media strategies with marketing objectives and audience segmentation.
  • Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Media Buying & Budget Management:

  • Select appropriate media channels and negotiate media space at optimal rates.
  • Allocate and manage advertising budgets for maximum ROI.
  • Maintain cost-efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns.

Content & Production Oversight:

  • Oversee design, copywriting, and production of marketing materials and publications.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate identity and high-quality standards.

Campaign Execution & Monitoring:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (creative, marketing) for consistent messaging.
  • Monitor campaign performance using media analytics tools and adjust strategy based on data insights.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Maintain strong relationships with media vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage internal communications (e.g., alerts, newsletters) for tone, clarity, and consistency.

Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Ensure all published content is professionally written and targeted appropriately.
  • Uphold ethical standards and brand integrity.

Requirements

  • Knowledge & Experience:
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in media planning and buying within Tanzania.
  • Preferred experience in the gaming or lottery industry.
  • Proven experience in campaign management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate media contracts and manage media budgets effectively.
