Job Description

Objective of the Role: To ensure effective management of all environmental activities, including gardening, landscaping, waste management, and compliance with safety regulations. The position aims to maintain a sustainable, clean, and safe environment while leading a team to deliver high-quality results efficiently and on time.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee gardening, landscaping, and general environmental maintenance in the farm.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor waste management practices, including proper garbage disposal.
  • Lead and supervise a large team, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan, organize, and execute environmental projects within deadlines.
  • Identify innovative and sustainable approaches to improve the environment and workplace.
  • Serve as a strong communication link between management and the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Environmental Science or a related field (a degree is not required).
  • Proven experience in environmental management, landscaping, gardening, or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage large teams.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and propose out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Fluent in English and Swahili with excellent communication and reporting skills.
