Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Moshi for a Safari Guide. The Safari Guide will be responsible for leading and managing safari tours, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and providing in-depth knowledge about Tanzanian wildlife, culture, and ecosystems. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and coordinating with team members to deliver seamless tours.

Qualifications

• A valid Tanzanian driver's license with category C and PSV endorsements
• Excellent knowledge of Tanzanian wildlife, flora, fauna, and ecosystems.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience with a reputable organization
• Extensive knowledge of local wildlife and national parks
• Excellent driving skills and familiarity with off-road driving
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle unexpected situations and ensure the safety of guests
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and positive attitude
• Fluency in English and Swahili
• First Aid certification and ability to manage crisis situations responsibly
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively
• Experience in the tourism industry or a related field is preferred
• The knowledge of other languages like French, German, Spanish or Russian will be an added advantage
