Overview
Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA) is a public higher‐learning institution in Tanzania, rooted in the legacy of Julius K Nyerere and originally derived from the former Kivukoni College.
Located at Kivukoni in Dar es Salaam (with additional campuses in Zanzibar and Pemba) the Academy provides education, research, consultation and training with a special emphasis on social sciences, leadership, governance and lifelong learning in support of Tanzania’s development.
Established in its current form by Act of Parliament in 2005, MNMA serves as a centre for fostering knowledge, critical thinking and applied skills aimed at promoting national unity, transformation and public service in a challenging but supportive academic environment.
