Overview
National Land Use Planning Commission (NLUPC) is Tanzania’s national agency responsible for land-use planning and coordination of land-use policies across the country. NLUPC was established by law under the Land Use Planning Act, Cap. 116, giving it corporate status with powers to prepare and review land-use plans, set standards for land use, and advise government on all matters related to land use planning. The Commission coordinates between national, regional, district and village authorities to ensure that land is used in a way that is sustainable, organized and beneficial for development.
