About
Chunya District Council governs Chunya District, one of the seven districts in Mbeya Region. Spanning an area of approximately 17,505 km², it sits on the central Tanzanian highlands at elevations between 1,200 and 1,700 m and shares borders with Tabora and Singida regions to the north, Mbarali District to the east, Mbeya Rural to the south, and Songwe District to the west (after Songwe split off in 2015).
