The National Museum of Tanzania (NMT) Makumbusho ya Taifa la Tanzania is a consortium of seven museums and historical sites across mainland Tanzania, dedicated to preserving the country’s rich cultural heritage, history, and natural environment. It is most famous for housing early hominid fossils discovered at Olduvai Gorge.
