NMB Foundation is the not-for-profit corporate social investment arm of NMB Bank Plc in Tanzania, established to champion socioeconomic prosperity and sustainable development in local communities.
Core Focus Areas
The foundation focuses its programs and funding on five main thematic pillars:
- Education: Includes initiatives like the Nuru Yangu Scholarship and Mentorship Programme, which supports students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds entering higher education.
- Health: Upgrading health infrastructure and supporting hospitals.Agriculture: Training smallholder farmers, promoting climate-smart practices, and boosting financial literacy and cooperative models.
- Environment: Promoting climate resilience and environmental sustainability.
- Entrepreneurship: Supporting skills development and business growth for women and youth.
