Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and supporting financial reporting processes. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to efficient financial operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare, review, and process accounting transactions in accordance with established procedures and accounting standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure the accuracy of cash balances and identify any discrepancies.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the completeness and accuracy of financial information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and applicable financial reporting standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the accounting system and ensure proper filing of supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing required schedules and reconciliations.
- Participate in internal and external audit processes by providing relevant documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial records and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and address operational requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analyses as required.
- Support the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information at all times.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices relevant to the role.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with the objectives of the position.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- CPA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience working in a reputable manufacturing company is highly preferred.
- Experience using SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
