Job Description
Employee Relations associate position is aiming at providing a positive and collaborative relationship between the organization and its employees, particularly with regard to labor laws, union relations and workplace policies.
Main areas of responsibility
- Facilitating internal disciplinary hearing and ensure all parties adhere to company policies and procedures
- Represent the Company at labor court and defend effectively
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Unions to ensure a balanced employee-employer relation.
- Ensure all employees’ personal records are filed and kept up-to-date both in personal files and SAPHR
- Assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures relating to industrial relations and advise line managers to ensure consistent application.
- Leading to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace environment
Requirements
- University degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice / LL.M. or equivalent.
- Experience in dealing with industrial relations
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swahili
- Excellent communication skills, negotiations skills, interpersonal skills, general business understanding
- Conversant with Tanzania labor laws by practicing
