Job Description
Responsible for providing management reports to senior management and Government Authorities, including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management.
Key Performance Areas:
- Analyze statistical data to explore revenue opportunities and come up with commercial strategies to increase DP World Dar-es-Salaam profitability.
- Increase DP World Dar-es-Salaam market intelligence by maintaining a broad and up to date knowledge on customer behaviors, competitor activities, market drivers and external influences on DP World Dar-es-Salaam business.
- Analyze Key Operational Performance areas and alert CFO on any inconsistencies or improvements.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of operational statistics reports on business opportunities.
- Coordination / Preparation / supervision on preparation of statistical monthly reports as required by TPA and TASAC on terminal key performance indicators.
- Analysis of Key Performance Indicator Reports for management decision making i.e. throughput, vessel waiting time, productivity figures, yard density, truck turnaround time.
- Working closely with Tanzania Ports Authority under their monitoring unit to receive the overall statistics Dar port.
- Develop data collection methods that are individually relevant to any commercial project being embarked upon by the organization.
- Prepare and submit commercial report to Management on monthly basis.
- Overseeing port log preparation for stevedoring charges.
- Ensuring statistics team provides all periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) reports timely.
- To improve profitability through analytical work triggers questions and constructively challenges how we operate today and understand the cost drivers within operations and take ownership of cost development.
- Responsible for explaining development in department costs, reviewing with each department spend per cost center including suggesting improvements and driving efficiencies.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting, Statistics, B. Com, BA degree, Mathematics.
- Master of Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics and Mathematics will be an added advantage.
Experience and Skills Required:
- 5 years’ experience at Mid Management level.
- Fully Conversant with business analyst.
- Proficiency in BI tools and platforms, such as Tableau, Power BI, or SQL.
