Job Title: HOTO Engineer – Solar Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the handover of completed solar plant sections or full projects from the construction team to the operations and maintenance (O&M) team.
• Review and validate as-built documentation, drawings, test reports, and quality records.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure all systems are installed per design and meet performance criteria.
• Facilitate punch list management – identifying, tracking, and closing open items.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory handover requirements.
• Organize and participate in HOTO meetings with EPC contractors, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed documentation of handover processes and approvals.
• Support testing, commissioning, and performance validation during the transition.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, safety, and project teams to resolve any issues before handover.
• Prepare and submit HOTO dossiers and obtain necessary client and regulatory sign-offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in solar project execution, with at least 2 years in a HOTO or commissioning role.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and project lifecycle stages.
• Familiarity with SCADA, inverter systems, and grid interconnection protocols.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently on remote project sites with diverse teams.
