DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals for undergraduate programmes
• To prepare and present case studies
• To conduct and publish/disseminate research results
• To participate/contribute in academic curriculum development
• To recognise students having learning difficulties, intervene and provide assistance and support
• To guide students in various academic issues
• To participate in consultancy projects and community service activities under supervision
• To attend workshops, conferences and symposia for professional development
• To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities.    

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Holder of Master of Arts in Language Studies or Arts in Kiswahili or Arts in Kiswahili Fasihi or Arts with Education (Kiswahili) or Master of Education in Arts (Kiswahili Fasihi) and Bachelor of Arts in Language Studies or Arts in Kiswahili or Arts in Kiswahili Fasihi or Arts with Education (Kiswahili) or Bachelor of Education in Arts (Kiswahili Fasihi) from a recognized academic institution. The candidate should possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 points (out of 5) at Masters level and a minimum of B+ in Kiswahili Fasihi subjects.

REMUNERATION: SALARY SCALE: PUTS 2.1
