Job Description The Core Network Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development of bank goals and objectives through the design, implementation, and administration of local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) systems. This role includes providing technical support, managing service providers, and offering leadership in technology usage across the Exim Bank Group.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Network Infrastructure & Connectivity

• Manage and support Cisco SD-WAN infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and policy troubleshooting.
• Operate and maintain Cisco MPLS WAN connectivity and related routing services.
• Configure and support Cisco wireless networks using LAN/Wireless Controllers.
• Manage DHCP servers and IP Address allocation for enterprise networks.

2. Network Security & Protection

• Administer and troubleshoot FortiGate and Sophos firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and UTM features.
• Manage Array Networks GSLB (Global Server Load Balancing) and Array Anti-DDoS solutions to ensure application availability and protection.

3. Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor network health and performance using SolarWinds, responding proactively to alerts and incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Support network changes, upgrades, and migrations following strict change management processes.

4. Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for timely issue resolution and system optimization.
• Provide training to department staff and lead assigned technology projects.
• Execute any other departmental tasks as assigned.
