Finance Business Partner (2 Position) at NMB Bank Tanzania

The Finance Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor and financial partner to business units, providing valuable insights, analytics, financial planning and monitoring support. This role involves the periodic analysis and creation of data-driven dashboards that track business performance, identify opportunities, and highlight potential impacts on both financial and non-financial KPIs.

Additionally, the position bridges finance and business strategy, leveraging advanced analytical tools to support decision-making, enhance performance, and drive strategic growth initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Drive the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial results, budgets, and forecasts for Business Units and Branch Network
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify performance trends, and advise business units on corrective actions.
• Proactively and periodically generate variance analysis and present findings to senior management.
• Support the alignment of departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.
• Support the evaluation of business cases, investment projects, and strategic initiatives to the business units.
  
  Analysis & Stakeholder support
  
• Present findings, projections, and recommended actions to senior management
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reporting tools to track KPIs and business drivers.
• Leverage data analytics to provide forward-looking insights and predictive modeling that guide strategic decisions, identifying and assessing the financial risks and opportunities
• Prepare papers, reports and presentations for senior management.
• Produce periodic and/or ad-hoc reports on the progress of key strategic initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to support initiatives, new products, and market expansion.
• Provide financial input into pricing strategies, product profitability, and customer segmentation.
  
  Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for assigned business units.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and realistic financial plans.
• Perform scenario planning and stress testing to support strategic decision-making.
• Continuously improve planning processes, assumptions, and forecasting accuracy.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Financial Analysis & Reporting - In-depth understanding of financial statements, performance metrics, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data to derive actionable insights.
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting- Expertise in building financial models, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning
• Data Analytics & Dashboard Creation - Advanced proficiency in creating interactive and insightful dashboards to track KPIs, business performance, and financial outcomes.
• Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and actionable format.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, IT & Computer Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields
• Master's degree in business studies is an added advantage
• At least 4 years' experience in Product Management, Business or Strategic planning, Analytics & MI, or Finance.
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., SAP BI, Power BI, Tableau, and MS Excel)
