Job Description

The Manager Customer Services and Operations will be responsible for the effective and efficient management and coordination of the Bank's resources and operations processes. This critical role ensures the delivery of excellent customer service while actively mitigating operational risks within the branch.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily activities and performance of relevant departments to ensure smooth operations and quality customer service.
  • Responsible for the secure management and use of branch keys, especially when higher management is absent.
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled to maintain the integrity of the branch’s financial records.
  • Reviewing and authenticating customer transactions, such as cheque withdrawals and clearing processes, to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
  • Authorizing batches of transactions and entries in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Conducting daily audits and reconciliations of various internal accounts for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Addressing customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Promoting and informing customers about the bank's products and services to meet sales targets and enhance customer relationships.
  • Reviewing and approving payment vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all financial entries and transactions posted to accounts, and ensuring all internal accounts are balanced and reconciled accurately.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the functionality of ATM machines to ensure they are available for customer use at all times.
  • Following established bank policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

Qualification and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced diploma in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or any other business-related studies.
  • Experience: At least 4 years’ experience in banking operations activities.

Competencies:

  • Sufficient experience in credit functions.
  • Proven experience in Banking Operations (Cash, Clearing, Accounts, & Administration).
  • Experience in customer service / relationship management.
