Programme Overview

The Manager in Training (MIT) Development Programme is a structured learning programme designed to guide graduates as they progress from graduate level to management. The programme aims to equip participants with the technical, leadership, and business competencies required to become managers within Kilombero Sugar Company Limited.

The programme is intended to:

• Introduce participants to the sugar industry and KSCL.
• Provide technical, leadership, and business exposure relevant to the participant's field of expertise.
• Build technical competencies through structured training in the participant's area of specialization.
• Prepare participants for permanent employment upon successful completion of the programme.
• Develop competent leaders with practical experience capable of contributing to the company's long-term success.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an Agricultural field with emphasis on Geographic, Environmental, and GIS disciplines.
• Experience with geo-referenced information management systems for sugarcane will be an added advantage.
• Good business acumen and agricultural expertise with the ability to anticipate, interpret, and respond to changes affecting the functional area.
• Working knowledge of cartography and relevant GIS tools and software.
• Strong agricultural data analysis skills.

• Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS)
• Hydrologic Engineering Centre – River Analysis System (HEC-RAS)
• Hydrologic Engineering Centre – Geospatial River Analysis System (HEC-GeoRAS)
• DJI Drone
