Leveraging over 25 years of experience in emerging markets, we integrate deep cultural understanding with cutting-edge technologies like satellite-based remote sensing, AI/ML analytics, and LiDAR to address climate resilience challenges. We offer comprehensive services from initial planning to post-project monitoring, and our expertise spans various sectors including transportation, agriculture, water management, mining, and forestry. To date, we have successfully completed projects in over 35 countries globally, prioritizing knowledge sharing and capacity building.

Role Description

AnyWay is looking to expand to Tanzania with a focus on providing consulting services to transport infrastructure projects that are funded by Multi-National Development Banks (MDBs). We are looking for a reliable, committed and enthusiastic individual with experience in the sector of transport infrastructure, knowledge of the business environment in Tanzania, and of the methodology and way of working with MDBs. Experience working directly with Government and MDBs is an advantage. This candidate will work closely with senior AnyWay management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and pursue MDB-funded infrastructure opportunities across sectors, with a focus on transport, climate resilience, and rural and urban development.
• Build and maintain relationships with key local stakeholders in the sector in Tanzania, including Project Implementing Units (PIUs), government ministries (e.g., Works, Transport, Planning), and within MDBs
• In collaboration with AnyWay’s Head Office, monitor Tanzania’s procurement pipeline and tender announcements. Collect and report early intelligence related to potential tenders, assist in identifying potential partners and initiate and maintain relationships with such stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of required documentation for EOIs, prequalification processes, and joint ventures, working with AnyWay’s Head Office, in tailoring proposals to local needs and conditions.
• Represent AnyWay Solutions in events (e.g. conferences or dedicated events initiated by AnyWay) as may be decided by the Head Office.
• Provide guidance on local compliance requirements, registration, and partnership protocols for foreign firms engaging in government and MDBs funded projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transport infrastructure sector with specific experience with MDB-funded projects in Tanzania
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering with a focus on transportation, or similar. Additional diplomas and/or degrees in international development or business administration - an advantage
• Independent, professional and team player with the ability to work remotely and independently
• Engaging personality with an ability to create and monitor personal relations with a variety of stakeholders (Government officials, decision makes, ministers, official MDBs, management and other consulting firms active in Tanzania).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
• Honest, trustworthy and hardworking
