Mechanical Engineers at Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineers will be responsible for maintaining and improving mechanical systems, production machinery, utilities, and other mechanical equipment supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Troubleshooting mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns.
• Supervising mechanical maintenance activities.
• Maintaining production machinery and plant utilities.
• Supporting maintenance of filling machines, mixing systems, bottle blowing equipment, injection molding equipment, autoclaves, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other plant equipment.
• Participating in equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Monitoring machine performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Supporting spare parts planning and equipment reliability programs.
• Working with Production and Quality departments to reduce equipment downtime.
• Ensuring maintenance activities comply with GMP and safety requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, machinery, utilities, pumps, compressors, HVAC, and industrial equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body where applicable.
