Job Description

Establish and grow the Pumping Solution markets, System Business which is focused on the Mechanical & Electrical aspects of Water / Wastewater/Building Services/, Energy/Mining and Process industry related business. Contribute to the profitability and success of the business unit, in line with the strategies, policies and procedures of the company.

Provide high level customer service related to product sales to effectively and efficiently increase sales margins in line with budget requirements and business objectives with a desire to exceed targets. Ensure quotations and orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner, as well as develop positive solutions to complex challenges. To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific Fluid System projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Pumping Systems.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Advise clients on the best suited pumps for project or installation on site.
  • Produce quotations including follow up on quotations.
  • Process orders and provide client updates on progress.
  • Record, Analyse, Report and administer according to systems and requirements.
  • Attend regular client / dealer visits in region, necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction, as well as maintain and build relationships with customers of company through enhanced communication and client liaison skills, together with appropriate
  • propositions and ethical sales methods.
  • Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures, as well as carry your duties in a manner which conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time

Requirements

Key Skills Required:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. / Pump Courses.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Pumping Systems.
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity.
  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in a professional sales role in engineering.
  • Computer Literacy / SAP experience preferred
  • Articulate in English with excellent telephone etiquette and people skills
  • Sound knowledge of company Pumps and Valve products including experience in component identification will be an added advantage.
