Job Description
Basani Microfinance Limited is a non-deposit taking microfinance service provider with its Head Office at Ubungo NHC in Ubungo Munispality, Dar es Salaam. We are looking for a self-motived, career success hungry Tanzanian with at least a Diploma in Accounting or any related/relevant fields to work as an Assistant Relationship Officer at our head office at Ubungo NHC, Ubungo Municipality in Dar es Salaam. The employee will have to work under probation for a period of not less than six months.

The applicant is required to attach an application letter (among other things, indicating the minimum pay aspired by the applicant during the probation period and after the probation period), cv and all necessary academic and birth certificate.
The applicant, among other competencies, is expected to have a good level of language proficiency in Swahili and English, good communication skills, basic mathematical literacy, physically fit for customer visits and verbal communication, good conduct, among other necessary requirements. Accounting competency and experience in lending activities is an added advantage. For avoidance of commuting challenges, it is advised for the applicant to be residing in Dar es Salaam who can easily access Ubungo NHC/Plaza areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Contacting various customers of the company to remind them on their obligations and make follow-ups such that they act on their obligations;
ii. Directing customers and prospective customers on loan requirements and proper filling of loan forms and relevant attachments.
iii. Crosschecking various documents and forms filled in by various customers and keeping them in relevant files;
iv. Visiting customers and prospective customers;
v. Undertaking other daily office operating and administrative activities as may be assigned by superiors;
vi. Undertaking specific microfinance service activities relating to accounting, marketing, sales and customer relationship (depending on professional and academic competencies of the officer) as may be assigned by superiors and
vii. Carrying out any other relevant duties assigned by superiors from time to time.
