Role Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for implementing Group Finance policies to ensure financial control and timely reporting of financial results of the Zanzibar/Tanzania entities.
Key Accountabilities
- Implementation of Financial accounting policies complying with Group policies and IFRS.
- Responsibility for the AP function. This includes supplier invoice accounting as per policy/authorization and managing payments and cash flow
- Responsibility for Daily Sales accounting and reporting. Ensuring that cash collections are deposited in Bank and reconciled plus Card reconciliations. Implement controls to ensure there is no revenue leakage
- Carry out Financial month closing activities within strict timelines. This will include reconciliation and review of GL nominals
- Secondary review of Inventory processes impacting Financial Statements.
- Review of monthly payroll
Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Finance function with involvement in all the major accounting streams – AP/AP/GL
- Good internal/external communicator being able to build strong relationships
- Detail oriented and analytical
- Must be willing to relocate to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Preferred Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Desired experience within FMCG sector.
