FINANCE OFFICER  JOB ADVERT

TMHS Polyclinic Mikocheni is seeking a qualified, competent, and committed Finance Officer to join our team.

Position: Finance Officer

Location: Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the clinic’s financial activities, accounting records, budgeting, financial reporting, billing, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and management reports.
  • Monitor revenues, expenses, budgets, and the overall financial performance of the clinic.
  • Process and coordinate all approved facility payments, including supplier invoices, utility bills, rent, maintenance costs, service providers, and other operational expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and other financial records.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and company financial policies.
  • Manage insurance billing, claims processing, follow-up, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, financial analyses, and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Safeguard financial assets and maintain proper financial documentation and records.
  • Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a healthcare or service environment.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, billing, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
