Financial Director at Singita Tanzania

The purpose of the Financial Director is to provide guidance and overall support to Management in Finance related matters and responsible for the overall organization financial healthy, team mentorship, develop and ensure overall adherence to the Finance policies and procedure.

The core functions of the Financial Director are to:

• Ensure efficient financial analysis, reporting, planning and control of all entities
• Manage group cash flow requirements and application
• Report on the above to property STRATCO, and key outcomes to SMC
• Define and implement a business model to achieve the strategic financial& operational objectives as directed by the shareholders / SMC
• Assist STRATCO, SMC and the Executive Director in particular, with financial feasibility models for business opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulatory requirements
• Manage the ongoing training and development of all Admin& Finance staff

This position is accountable to the Grumeti Reserves Executive Director

The person filling this position should:

• Be a qualified Accountant – CPA or equivalent
• Minimum of ten years post-qualifying practical experience in commerce
• Have processing experience with accounting software– Accpac, Pastel(or a similar package)
• Be generally computer literate, but have advanced experience with Microsoft software packages – Excel in particular
• Experience with the relevant tax, labour and employee benefits legislation
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for the industry – enthusiasm for what needs to be done
• Self-starter (initiative to look for ways to improve the delivery of financial information to the stakeholders)
• Ability to deal with pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
• Be organized and systematic, yet flexible
• Have the willingness / ability to travel and live in a remote location
• High level of integrity
