Supervisor AR Payment Applic at Genuine Parts Company

This position is responsible for ensuring the production of accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable practices required by periodic filings as well as other external, internal and governmental reports and releases.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of 5 to 10 direct reports plus additional indirect reports executing payment applications functions
• Responsible for delivering the departmental KPIs by holding the team accountable to established standards
• Takes an active role in maintaining or enhancing a customer and employee centric culture
• Responsible for on-boarding new hires, including obtaining access to resources and tools, planning and execution of their training
• Responsible for conducting monthly 1:1s that are employee centric
• Responsible for quality assurance, including auditing of sample data and any training or continuous improvement recommendation
• Oversees payment application processes including customer outreach, level 2+ research requests, account maintenance, other accounting, and administrative tasks
• Monitors unapplied cash at subsidiary level and take measures to minimize (support and guide the Remittance Recovery team members)
• Responsible for monthly close procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the Payment Applications Manager

Experience

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide coaching, create and execute professional development plans for a team of 5 to 10 individuals
• Ability to identify and lead process improvements initiatives as well as fulfill the role of a SME on projects
• Strong aptitude for managing workload (self and a group)
• PeopleSoft experience preferred
• Advance knowledge and ability to leverage Microsoft Office product suite (especially Excel)

Education

• 2+ years of experience leading a team
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable preferred
