Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Reports To: Laboratory Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, 2-Year Contract (Renewable)

We are a premier dynamic company operating in the mineral industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality analytical services. We are seeking a qualified, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Mineral Analysis Laboratory team.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with strict safety and quality assurance protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct mineral analysis as per standard laboratory procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze samples from various mining sites.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education: Must possess a valid Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Science Laboratory Technology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of continuous working experience in a busy, reputable laboratory environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent knowledge of standard laboratory safety protocols.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
