Key Learning Areas and Responsibilities

The QC Microbiology Intern will support the microbiology laboratory in activities related to pharmaceutical microbiological testing and environmental monitoring under appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in preparation of microbiological media and laboratory materials.
  • Supporting microbiological testing of samples.
  • Assisting with environmental monitoring activities.
  • Supporting microbial limit and related microbiological tests.
  • Assisting with laboratory cleaning and sanitization.
  • Supporting sample collection and documentation.
  • Maintaining laboratory records.
  • Following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and GMP requirements.
  • Supporting laboratory investigations under supervision.
  • Maintaining proper laboratory safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology and environmental monitoring is an added advantage.
  • Good laboratory and documentation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
