The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market share for the hotel through proactive sales activities, strategic account management, and business development with a strong collaboration with the central sales team and hotel operations.

Strategic Goals for a Key Account Manager:
Be an example and ambassador of Attitude DNA all the time: Adapt Attitude’s core values and best practices to fit the Zanzibar local culture, ensuring alignment with the company's purpose.to achieve and maintain Family Member and Guest satisfaction all the time.
Integrate Business Strategies and Attitude Best Practices: Develop and align business strategies that focus on Attitude's three main pillars—People First, Local All The Way, and The Environment, incorporating these principles into best management practices to drive sustainable long-term success.
Company Culture & Employee Engagement: Maintain and reinforce company culture in daily operations, creating a positive, engaging experience for both employees and customers. Ensure legal compliance.
Cost Efficiency: Ensure the execution of strategic business plan that defines operational goals, and profitability objectives.
Operational/Technical Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute the property's sales plan in alignment with the Group commercial strategy.
- Identify new business opportunities across leisure, corporate, MICE, incentive, wedding, and group segments.
- Prospect, negotiate, and secure new accounts to increase hotel revenue and market penetration.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, networking events, and familiarisation trips.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, workshops, and industry events.
- Share market intelligence with the Chief Sales Officer and General Manager.
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key travel trade partners, tour operators, DMCs, corporate clients, event planners, and travel agents.
- Develop strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable business growth.
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activities within the system in place.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
- Ensure all contracts, proposals, and agreements comply with company standards and policies.
Collaboration with Hotel Operations
- Work closely with the General Manager and operational departments to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments.
- Coordinate site inspections, client visits, educational trips, and familiarisation programmes.
- Support the planning and execution of group arrivals, events, weddings, and incentive programmes.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the hotel.
Brand Representation
- Act as an ambassador of the Attitude Hotels brand and values.
- Promote the unique selling propositions and sustainable tourism commitments of the group.
You might be a great fit if…
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing/ Sales or Business Administration or any other related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, hospitality business development, or commercial management.
- Ability to embody and instil Attitude’s DNA and culture within the hotel.
- Excellent communication skills: Clear, professional verbal and written skills and fluency in English, French and Swahili.
- An understanding of the African Market will be a definite advantage.
