CCR Operator at Simba Cement Tanzania

To operate kilns/mills to ensure the plant is running within required and according to agreed parameters.

Responsibilities

Operate kilns/mills to ensure the plant is running within required and according to agreed parameters.

Maintain production log sheets; to ensure accuracy of data in the sheet and preparation of daily reports.

Participate in any production related activities professionally and efficiently such as cleaning, firefighting, special tests and refractory jobs.

Operate the plant according to day’s instructions, monitor the process and adjust as required to maintain optimum operating parameters.

Communicate to shift supervisor on abnormalities and ensure feedback from lab on quality is obtained.

Ensure OSHA compliance as per company and statutory requirements.

Observe relevant environmental policies and regulations.

Observe compliance to Heidelberg Materials Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies and Guidelines.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

BSc Chemical and Processing Engineering or its equivalent

Minimum of one (1) year cement operations experience or its equivalent industry.

Basic understanding of maintenance requirements

Good written and spoken English

Good knowledge of safety procedures

Able to organize work of section

Good attention to detail, accurate and able to think things through logically 

Timeously

Professional registration with Engineers Registration Board or its equivalent.
