Responsibilities 

• Safe operation of the underground haul truck by adhering to all safety operating procedures
• Perform pre-start checks, refuel and wash equipment.
• Perform other duties as instructed by the shift supervisor
• Ensure your health and safety and the health and safety of others
• Ensure oncoming operator is given all relevant information relating to the current status and condition of your working areas.
• Work with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives.
• Complete all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard.
• Compliance to all applicable mine safe work procedures / safe operating procedures.
• Participation in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings.

Qualification requirements

• Ordinary secondary school education.
• Heavy Mobile Equipment operation skills

Experience and Competencies needed

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar industry.
2. Experience in underground hard rock mining mobile equipment operation.
3. Holds a Valid Tanzanian drivers licence.
4. Understanding of basic Mines Health & Safety Act.
5. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to perceive risks and prevent hazardous situations or circumstances before they occur.
