Position Description

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Reliabilty Superintendent Expatriate to join and grow our team. This role is responsible for leading and managing the reliability function across mining operations to ensure equipment availability, minimize downtime, and improve asset performance. This role oversees reliability engineering, condition monitoring, and defect-elimination programs for both mobile and fixed plant assets.Join our exceptional team and embody Barrick's core values as you work with us. Reporting to: Mechanical Engineer

Duration: Fixed Term

Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s reliability strategy, ensuring alignment with maintenance and operational goals.
• Manage a team of reliability engineers, analysts, and condition monitoring technicians.
• Develop and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action plans.
• Oversee condition monitoring (vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, NDT).
• Analyze equipment performance trends and implement improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and planning teams to resolve chronic issues.
• Review and enhance PM strategies, RCM studies, and maintenance tactics.
• Support capital projects with reliability input and risk assessments.
• Track and report key reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, availability, cost performance).
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Engineering (or similar technical field).
• Strong understanding of mining mobile equipment and/or mineral processing plants.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems (SAP, Pronto, Oracle, etc.).
• Preferred certifications: CMRP, CRL, vibration/oil analysis, Six Sigma.

Experience And Skills Requirements

• Strong leadership and team-building ability.
• 8+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering (mining preferred).
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in reliability engineering tools (RCM, FMEA, RCA).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Data-driven decision-making mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced mining environment.
