Role Overview

The Gym Attendant will be responsible for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of the hotel's gym facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment is in good working order, assist guests with their fitness needs, and maintain a welcoming environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the gym area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times
• Inspect fitness equipment regularly and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Demonstrate proper use of gym equipment and assist guests with inquiries
• Enforce gym rules and safety guidelines
• Monitor gym usage and ensure a safe environment for all guests
• Maintain stock of towels, water, and other gym supplies
• Sanitize equipment and surfaces in line with hygiene standards
• Report incidents, hazards, or equipment issues to management promptly
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests
• Support other hotel departments as needed during quiet periods

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certificate or diploma in Fitness, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a gym, fitness center, or similar role (an advantage)
• Knowledge of fitness equipment and basic exercise principles
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit and able to assist guests as needed
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
