Job Description

Job Summary: As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. You will enforce security protocols, monitor surveillance equipment, and respond to incidents as necessary.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, or other security threats.
  • Conduct security checks of personnel, vehicles, and packages entering and leaving the premises.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security breaches.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control measures.
  • Provide assistance and support to employees and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns related to security matters.
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations.
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve situations effectively.
  • Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, including reports of theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or Head of Department

Academic Qualification, Experience And Competence

  • Diploma and above, with proven security training i.e., military, police, prison, militia, or any private security training.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Industrial Security.
  • Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of security systems and law enforcement practices.
  • Sound knowledge of physical and security risk management approaches.
  • Ability to think strategically and holistically.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay adequate attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
