Job Description

Responsible for selling different agricultural machinery. Responsible for building a book of business and finding companies, individuals, or agents to purchase agricultural equipment or services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   

  1. Represents the company sale of machinery to customers in defined sales areas.
  2.  Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by Jumla Africa.
  3. Set and work towards achieving sales targets. Develop sales strategies, action plans, and tactics to meet or exceed sales goals. 
  4. Checks out existing products and recommend upgrades or replacements.
  5. Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Understand their needs, provide product information, and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of goods.
  8. Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Gather market intelligence, identify industry developments, and provide feedback to management.
  9. Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Minimum of a Degree better in Mechanical/Agriculture engineering/Agri-business or Sales and marketing in Agricultural equipment. 
  • At least 3 years of working sales experience preferably in agricultural equipment machinery.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise and ability to bring in new sal
