Job Description
Responsible for selling different agricultural machinery. Responsible for building a book of business and finding companies, individuals, or agents to purchase agricultural equipment or services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represents the company sale of machinery to customers in defined sales areas.
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by Jumla Africa.
- Set and work towards achieving sales targets. Develop sales strategies, action plans, and tactics to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Checks out existing products and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Understand their needs, provide product information, and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of goods.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Gather market intelligence, identify industry developments, and provide feedback to management.
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Degree better in Mechanical/Agriculture engineering/Agri-business or Sales and marketing in Agricultural equipment.
- At least 3 years of working sales experience preferably in agricultural equipment machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
- Strong business sense and industry expertise and ability to bring in new sal
